In this song we're joined by the Madcaps rhythm section; Marie-Anne Arsenault on bass and Jonathan Gagné on Drums. Jazz master Gabriel Laprade plays sax and keyboards. Here's what happens when you mix the groin grinding grooves of funk with the sweet toe tapping twang of country; a new genre of music called Funktry! Thus the name of the song. You heard it here first kids!!. This was a beauty of a jam so thanks to all participants. We have a few new inductees on this one. Maxime Drouin is on drums, Flavie Léger-Roy plays acoustic guitar and Audrey Chaussé Généreux plays flute and joins in on vocals. Returning talent includes Gabriel Meunier on electric guitar. Jérôme Arsenault plays bass and sings vocals and Julian Smit sings lead. Also, special thanks are due to guest mix master Jean-Philippe Villemure who did an outstanding job with the mix!

Written/Recorded/Mixed Live on stage at Quai des Brumes on May 28, 2007. The song was created in an hour and a half. It was composed by fusing 2 seperate drum/bass jams together and then adding other tracks to the global project. Jérôme Arsenault worked the console while the musicians took their turn on stage. Jon Desjardin plays bass with Hubert L'Ecuyer on drums. Mathieu Langlois plays sax and bass with Frédéric Lapointe on drums. Fred later added a Theremin track. Gabriel Meunier plays guitar, and the vocals were sung by Julian Smit and Catherine LeBlanc-Fredette. The music and lyrics were influenced and inspired by the audience.

We came pretty close (if not passed) our 24 hour limit on this song (time well spent). We could probably put a few more days on it, but this is not our way. Now if someone were to get off their cheap ass and pay us to do things right...that would be another story. So this gem of a song features the bass styles of Jon Desjardins with Hubert L'Ecuyer backin'im up on drums/egg/fingers. Mathieu Langlois plays classical guitar and clarinette.
